Hosting
When a website is created it needs to have space on the Internet - this is referredto as 'hosting'. We can host websites remotely and set up e-mail addresses for you.

Domain names
Your website needs to point to a domain name i.e. www.abcxyz.com. If you don't know how to buy a domain name or find out if a domain name is avialable just get in touch and we'll buy it for you.

The web design process
1. We meet and discuss your website requirements.
2. You decide if you want to use our services (hopefully 'yes'!)
3. We prepare an estimate for the work during the consultation
4. You agree to our business terms
5. We design the site and upload it onto our server
6. You hopefully accept the finished product before it's uploaded to your own domain

Database Solutions

What are database solutions?
A basic website displays information on a page - like this site! You requested this page and the information is displayed as because it's already written into the page.

Database driven websites are dynamic and display information on a web page from data held in a seperate database. For example, a web visitor to an appliances website may search for 'washing machines' that are 'under £500'. When the search results appear, the code in the page requests all washing machines that are under £500 to be displayed on that page from the information held in the database.

Why would you need a database driven website?
Database driven websites are ideal if lots of different search criteria and products are on offer.

Travel websites are a good example as they allow people to search for start dates, types of hotels, specific resorts, trip durations, excursions etc - all under one search.

At a smaller level, a B&B might need a database solution for the premises. Storing details about each room on the database would allow customers check availability and confirm bookings online through the website. The database could then also be used offline when taking telephone bookings to check availability in real-time without worrying about overbooking.

How does it work?

Our graphic design capabilities extend beyond the world wide web. Using our software and design skills we can assist with business stationary design and other forms of printed marketing media.

The creation of adverts for magazines, newspapers and websites. We meet with you to dicuss your requirements and to discuss various design layouts and solutions. We then use your images and text to create the advert according to your exact specifications.

Business Stationary
We can design all your bsuiness stationary. Using your logo and contact details we can put together various alternative designs for letterheads, business cards and compliment slips.

Brochure Design
We can design brochures in just about any size and shape. Working closely with the Client we work through a template design and layout for the brochure. We then start designing the brochure according to your exact specifications. Please note that the lead time on brochures is longer than websites due to the work involved.

Publicity and special events i.e. trade fairs
Maybe you need some pull-up banners or display board making? Maybe some large format branded photos to comliment your display? All sorts are possible - just get in touch to discuss your options.

Flyer and direct mail
Similar to adverts, we can design flyers and other promotional material for distribution via mail. Get in touch to talk through things further.

Branding
Are you a new business requiring a new logo or an existing business requiring a re-brand? We can sit down with you and come up with some logo designs. We then design up to 6 alternatives for you to choose from and then tweak your final choice to make it perfect!

Other printed products
